It may not affect information already shared in connection with a prior quote request or communication, and we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as security, fraud prevention, and recordkeeping.
4. Who Can Submit a Request
You may submit an opt-out request if you are a resident of a U.S. state with an applicable opt-out right and the request relates to your own personal information.
An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf where permitted by law. If you submit a request as an authorized agent, we may require proof of authorization and verification of the consumer's identity before processing the request.
To help us locate and process your request, please provide the same name and email address you used when interacting with Book My Move, such as when submitting a quote request or contacting us.
5. How We Process Requests
After you submit an opt-out request, we will:
- Acknowledge receipt of your request where required by law.
- Take reasonable steps to verify your identity using the information you provide, which may include confirming your email address or requesting additional details.
- Process verified requests within the timeframe required by applicable law, typically within 45 days, with a possible extension where permitted.
- Maintain records of opt-out requests as required by law and honor your choice unless you later provide consent to sell or share your information again.
