I have used Allison’s moving services twice now to move household items from Alaska to the lower 48. Both times the service was straight forward and easy and smooth and I was informed every step of the process. The packing team was the same both times and were simply awesome. They all work well together and Chucky was aware of my concerns and made sure they were met. We used Alison's for a move out of Alaska to the lower 48. First off, they were all very nice and returned calls and/or emails in a very timely manner. My issues lie with the estimate and then the logistics of the move. We chose Alisons in a big part for their estimate as well as the fact I wanted an Alaskan company to do my move. Turns out, they hired another company to do all the packing as well as the transport, which perhaps is the standard for such a long move, but is was not apparent until the unknown packing/moving company showed up on day 1. When my uncle passed away he left behind a baby grand piano that was gifted to us. The piano was an hour away and my aunt was in the process of moving out of state. I contacted Alison and was able to schedule a move the same week. Even on the coldest day(-36°), the piano was successfully delivered. They packed and protected it for its journey to its new home. On arrival they were careful with bringing it into the house, used moving blankets, protected my floors, set it up and made sure it was where I wanted it. Customer service and time was great.
