If for some reason, you MUST use this company, please do yourself a favor and buy the premium insurance package they peddle because YOU WILL NEED IT! 4 months since our move with Armstrong Relocation in Baton Rouge and we are STILL working out the settlement with United Corporate for the damage done to our personal property. This company does not care about you or your property; they will tell you anything you want to hear to get your contract signed and your money in their hands. Our delivery was nearly 3 weeks late from our contracted spread, which they scheduled. In the meantime, we were…

I had a very disappointing experience with Mayflower Armstrong (Baton Rouge) and their New Orleans partner Crescent City Moving. I paid about $10,000 for a full-service move and expected the professional standards associated with the Mayflower Armstrong name. Unfortunately, many of the basic standards were not followed. There was no digital inventory and no parts box, and the inventory was handwritten on old United forms that were largely unreadable. As a result, hardware was lost and my bed and sofa could not be assembled upon delivery, despite the fact that I paid for furniture disassembly…

Warning! Do not use this company for your move! I can't begin to tell you how much of a nightmare experience we had trying to move from New Orleans to Houston. While they did a great job packing up our home, the delivery experience was awful and time consuming. They first postponed the promised delivery date by five days because the driver had a personal problem. When they arrived five days later they ignored the instructions on how and when to deliver to our building. Showing up 3 hours late, they took their time unloading. I personally moved 40-50 boxes in the hopes that we could complete t…

We relocated with Armstrong 2 1/2 years ago. The movers dropped some of our furniture down our stairs and cause damage to the stairwell, walls and ceiling. They also drug the furniture across our hardwood floors causing dense throughout. We submitted the claim as we were instructed. Over the course of 2 1/2 years they’ve had people come out and look. We got quotes. They even agreed to pay for the damages after we received estimates. I have it in writing. In October they said the check was on the way. It is now January and no check. I have tried repeatedly to contact them. Finally I get a messa…

Had a bad experience with these movers. They were about three hours late to showing up and regularly took hour long breaks. We found out after the fact that they had put down all our new furniture as being "dented, cracked, chipped, heavily used" for any high value item, which would have made it very tough if we had ended up having a dispute with the moving company if our items had been damaged.
