Central Herrin Moving is a professional moving company based in Shreveport, Louisiana, located at 1305 Marshall St. The company offers a wide range of transportation services and is known locally as a point of interest and establishment in the moving industry. With a Google rating of 3.5 out of 15 reviews, Central Herrin Moving operates 24 hours a day from Monday to Saturday, providing flexible scheduling options for its clients. The company specializes in both local and cross-country moves, often serving as a local connection for larger moving networks like Allied Movers. Despite some challenges noted in customer feedback, Central Herrin Moving has established itself as a reliable option in the Shreveport area for those seeking comprehensive moving services without a web presence. However, the company does not have a matching record with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), which suggests they may not be authorized for interstate moves or lack federal registration, a factor to consider for long-distance relocations.
Customer experiences with Central Herrin Moving are mixed, with some clients appreciating the friendly and responsive office staff, while others have expressed dissatisfaction with the handling of their belongings. Notably, some reviews mention issues such as damaged items and inadequate packing practices. For military families and others with frequent moving experience, this feedback may be particularly relevant when evaluating this mover's suitability. While Central Herrin Moving does not have FMCSA data available, prospective customers should inquire about their licensing and insurance coverage to ensure compliance with local regulations. When comparing Central Herrin Moving to other providers, it is advisable to consider customer reviews, service scope, and any affiliations with larger moving networks, which can influence the quality and reliability of their services.

We’re military and have moved many times and this is by far in the worst move we’ve ever done. Not only did someone fall through our roof and cost us $1400 which they agreed to pay. Both the contractor who fixed the roof and ourselves have messages where they told us that it would be covered. Yet now every time we call so-and-so is out of the office and they don’t know their insurance company’s name and number. They were not supposed to be in our attic. Then on top of that we had boxes and boxes, with just one single item and tons and tons of paper. I can’t tell you how many bags of just strai…

Opened our boxes after moving and found many broken items. Just no common sense. Packed heavy items with light items. I hope I can post all the photos. Will Never Recommend !!

Central-Herrin was the local connection to Allied Movers for my cross-country move. Everything went smoothly. Office staff was friendly and returned my calls. The estimator was reassuring. I was disappointed with the packers who packed almost twice as many boxes as originally estimated even though I had gone to great lengths to purge unnecessary items. Upon unpacking I was amazed at the waste of paper. 4 sheets of paper for 6 tubes of Chapstick, twice!

The workers are rude, lazy, and elderly(health issue). They were hired by the government to move, unpack, and assemble my furniture. They couldn’t handle the workload. Left dirty hand prints all over my walls. They told me when they arrived they were not doing any of the required work the contract requested of them. In my 13 years in the Military I have never encountered a moving company this terrible. They left trash all over my lawn on the base. Just embarrassing just moving to the neighborhood. 0 stars is what they deserve. Run!! Do not waist your time or money.

The WORST move of my life. We hired Central Herrin for packing and moving for two houses that were being combined into one new home. They offered us additional moving insurance and we decided to add it. The packers packed up multiple boxes that included way more packing paper than needed so that some boxes were 80% paper so that they could charge us for more boxes than necessary. They wrapped non-breakable items like stuffed animals with tons of paper while leaving breakable items unprotected. They also left quite a few items unpacked, which means the movers left them behind and we had to move…
