*Update: I really appreciate that a manager was willing to talk and provide a partial credit. This company still has some humanity. Updating my review. Used Bookstore Movers for a two-apartment move. We were coming from separate places into our first home together. They made the whole process incredibly smooth. From the beginning, they were friendly, transparent about costs and logistics, and just genuinely easy to be around. No surprises, no stress. They earned our trust before the move even started, and delivered on it completely. Highly recommend.

When I asked my coworkers who should I hire to move us from Silver Spring to DC they all said Bookstore Movers. Even those who hasn't moved in 15 years still named them. I knew I had to book them and boy, all the advice was right. Four young men came who were extremely professional. I forgot their names and if I could remember would shout them out individually. But they came, were extremely quick and efficient, customer service was next to none, they asked me a ton of questions that were relevant to the move. Movers were nice and respectful. My review is strictly about the execution of service. Movers were on a previous job which took longer than expected which I understand, but they ended up arriving almost 2 hours late (they kept me updated as to the delay which I appreciated). Right before they said they were outside I was about to call the company and cancel the move b/c of the delay. I enjoyed speaking with the movers and they took care of my things which I appreciated. I didn't notice at the time of the movers unloading items in my storage unit as I was exhausted from packing, moving, etc.…

Josh and his team were incredible at moving, they have an effective system for loading the truck, and protecting your furniture. Definitely read and follow the Tips section on the website, that definitely pays off. I will recommend Bookstore movers to everyone, thank you!
