We recently used Metropolitan Moving & Storage for our move, and they exceeded our expectations. This was a large move that included professional packing one day and moving the next. The crew worked incredibly hard from start to finish and treated our belongings and our new home with great care. Although the move took longer than originally expected, it was because they were being thorough—not cutting corners. We added an additional packer, and the team adapted seamlessly. Mario and his crew were on time if not early in arriving, easy to work with and experienced. Their process of doing a walk through, assessing what to pack, packing items carefully and then returning the following day to move the items was excellent. They were so efficient that the move took about half of the estimated time! Very pleasant to work with and talk too. Great job by Mario and his crew!

We just completed a very complicated move, or really a series of moves: staging a 4 BR house for sale (so lots of stuff moved out), while moving someone IN from a 1 BR apartment; then moving the rest of the contents into storage for two months; then moving all the stuff to a different state, just after a major blizzard. At every step of the way Metropolitan delivered for us: responsive, prompt, clear, and careful with our belongings. Was it cheap? No. Did everything arrive safe, sound, and unbroken? Yes. Great moving company! Moved from a one bedroom in DC, picked up a storage unit along the way to a bigger one bedroom also in DC. A small move for this company, I am sure, but a big one for me. The three friendly moving specialists, that they certainly were, moved everything very safely, quickly and professionally. The whole experience couldn't have been any better. Recommend 100%!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! We moved from a 5BR row home to a 5BR house in DC. Metropolitan was the only company that offered me an in-person walkthrough estimate, and they provided me with a quote that they said was overestimating to make sure they stayed within budget -- already, this price was in line with what other companies had quoted as their minimum price, so I just assumed our final bill would the total max amount of the range they gave me (see more below), since their pricing was competitive.
