This is the worst company I’ve ever had any experience with in any sector of business. We have moved many times across country and have never had any damage. Rugs were stuffed into boxes instead of being rolled. The coup de grace is that a lamp was bent to fit the box as pictured below . The damages exceeded $125,000. The move was fraught with fraudulent procedures.

The move coordinator stopped responding for days at a time. This happened at least three times -- there were multiple occasions where I was assured that I would have information by the end of the day, and I had to follow up to get information days later. She said, over and over, that she was sorry for dropping the ball and that it was her fault. My delivery was a full week late, and I had to follow up, repeatedly, to get that information, and the move coordinator said, over and, that she was sorry for dropping the ball and that it was her fault. I asked via email for my two desks to have d…

Buyer beware. I had Williams Moving and Storage perform a one day local move with packing. All went ok until the last piece was brought into the house. It was a $3500 stainless steel refrigerator. The movers shoved it through the door, gouging and denting 3 of the 4 doors. I was initially told it would be repaired. After multiple calls and emails for approximately 60 days I was told I opted out of the damage coverage on the agreement (I did not opt out) and would be reimbursed based on the weight (which was no where close to the damage incurred). As of today (100+ days) I am still getting sta…

We had a bad experience with Williams Transfer/United Moving. I'll concede that all service-based companies are having a hard time finding dependable workers right now, so I'll try and be as fair as possible with that in mind. We moved from Memphis to St. Louis in June. The gentleman who performed our walkthrough and prepared our quote was professional and helpful. The quoted price was higher than I expected, but we decided to go with them anyway because we figured United was a large, reputable company that would take good care of us. The real trouble started on the day of the move. Ther…

Williams Transfer/ United Van lines did an outstanding job for me during my recent move. The office staff was always happy to answer any question I might have. The driver (Byron) and his crew were friendly, courteous and careful. I had two small insignificant items that were broken, nothing of value was damaged in any way. It is easy for me to give them such a high recommendation....they earned it. If you choose this company for your move I am certain you will not be disappointed.
