  We hired them to move a few items. They damaged a custom made desk, which they acknowledged. Scraped the floor in the old house and walls moving into the new house. On the receipt they noted I was to get a call from Cody regarding the damaged desk. Two and half weeks later, I still have not received a call. I called Dan 2 weeks after moving, and discussed the issues. I have not received any response. You have to pay immediately after moving, but then it appears they don't care about you. Extremely disappointed.

  While I have used Hometown Movers once in the past about four years ago and had a good experience, my most recent experience in May of 2026 was beyond disappointing and should dissuade anyone from hiring this company to handle your belongings and be in your home. First, one of the two crew members they sent got out of the truck wearing an ankle monitor, not even attempting to conceal it. Next, not an hour into the move, I walked out of the house to where the two crew members were loading furniture and heard them openly discussing what drugs they commonly used, with one stating "now I only use…

  Hometown Moving did a great job moving us to a different city. They had to move our hot tub and my business supplies (many, many boxes!) too and it all arrived in the same condition as we left it. They even made an extra trip to help us get the hot tub into the right spot! Dan, the owner, was great to work with and we felt the whole process was smooth and affordable.

  Not sure if it’s just because they were contracted by the Air Force or what- our items were packed as if it was everybody’s first day on earth. Cat litter mat with clothing from a whole different room. Food items with kitchen floor mat, they disassembled even our folding table. The pieces for every disassembled item were mixed in ENTIRELY different boxes. We would’ve done better driving 1300 miles ourselves since now we have the headache of taking triple the time to put our items back together.they Labeled our clothing as “kitchen cookware”.   These people were great. On time, fast, efficient, careful, respectful and fun. Dan is great to work with on a move. Ashton and Brennan get a shout out too for being the best movers anyone could ask for. Great job Home Town, I’ll never choose another mover and I will highly recommend you all! Kathy Marsh
