Terrible experience--doesn't keep their promises, management schedules things in an impossible way for their own movers, and absolutely opaque communication. Kept us waiting for over 5 hours while only saying soon every time I called, immediately broke items, and weren't even able to get furniture through the door at the arrival place, but damaged the doorframe. (Furniture which I was able to get in later myself two days later). Didn't let me do a walk-through of the truck, but the movers signed their check-off themselves. Charged my card without approval. Avoid at all costs.

Chris is an invaluable resource and has helped my buyers and sellers get moving. They are organized and ready to work hard a d are on time and on budget. Their onsite estimates are true reflection of the final bill. The movers handle my clients move with care, and respect my clients homes by protecting the flooring before they begin in and out with furniture. Thank you for being trustworthy and making me shine.

Mario and his crew helped move me and my family from San Antonio to Fort Worth. They helped us pack our house, loaded everything timely and were prompt with delivery too! Not only were they so friendly but they didn't break a single glass and went above and beyond to insure our move went smoothly! Would recommend black tie moving to anyone and everyone!

We used Black Tie moving in the summer of 2024. We were charged double the price of our initial quote even though we gave an accurate description of our space and items. It took the truck an hour and a half to get from Gahanna to Pickerington. It is an 35 minute drive. We were promised two trucks but one broke down, so we only got one truck for the beginning. They did give us money back for the truck. However even after that refund, we still paid a thousand over the quote price. When we complained, they listen to our sales call and said the sales person, only gave quotes and no firm price. The…

Black Tie Moving is always my go to mover for my clients. They are fairly priced and it always is a pleasant experience for my Real Estate clients. I had a California client moving across country to the Columbus area using a National Brand mover. Long story short but the truck arrived but no crew to unload. My client called me and within an hour Chris Hess and Black Tie Movers were on site to help save the day. Black Tie Movers highly recommended!
