We interviewed many moving companies and decided on Armstrong/United Van Lines for 4 major reasons - 1. we had used United Van Lines for a previous move and they were excellent, 2. customer service during the interview process, 3. in person estimates (I refused to go with any company that only did virtual estimates), 4. reviews. We recently moved from California to Knoxville with United Van lines and Armstrong as our moving company. On our move in date the movers were Sam, Dylan and Eli. We were impressed by their professionalism and by their courteousness. They handled our move in quickly and were very careful to not damage our things or our new apartment. We highly recommend Armstrong and Sam, Eli and Dylan. They did a great job. Update: We have recently bought a home and had Armstrong move us from our apartment into our home. -Their "professional" packing/inventory specialist, Doug Powers did an in-home inventory of all of our items 2 weeks before moving and GROSSLY UNDERESTIMATED OUR MOVING LOAD - forcing us to either pay DOUBLE on the day of moving, to add in a new container or hire a U-haul (which we'd hoped to avoid by hiring "professional" movers, but this was the cheaper option.) What's the point of having someone come out to take inventory if it's incorrect and forces you to pay more on the day of moving?
