  I highly recommend Allied/Central Van for your relocation. The team is friendly, professional and great to work with. From the beginning with the estimate with Joe to Vicki who continued to follow up throughout the process to Rick the driver and day of coordinator who saw my move from WV to FL through. The staff that helped load and unload were also super kind and professional. Not one item was broken scratched or missing. This team was top notch!

  Of all the moves we have made over many years, this was absolutely the most unprofessional and devastating damage to almost 100% of everything transported. Daughter was never provided a day of loading invoice identifying each item being moved. At delivery time is when they provided a list that had been manufactured at a warehouse identifying any supposed previous damage. The salesman guaranteed all furniture would be carefully wrapped in pads and plastic to prevent any damage.   Everything arrived unbroken! Our movers were nice guys and they were the same guys who drove across the country and unloaded. Very expensive but I guess that’s just the going rate. The guys disassembled and reassembled our beds so we had a place to sleep that same night. We paid almost $18k to move a 3 bedroom house from Maryland to California.

  I requested a moving quote through Allied Van Lines’ website, and shortly afterward began receiving a high volume of automated calls, sometimes up to 25 in a single day. The calls were silent when answered, and voicemails left were identical and unhelpful. I hadn’t signed up for ongoing contact or services, and this felt intrusive and excessive. I was only able to stop the calls after reaching out to customer service directly. The company itself might offer good service, I can’t say, since I never actually did business with them. But this aggressive outreach made me decide not to pursue them…

  We chose Central Van and Storage (Allied Van Lines) to move our household 350 miles from WV to VA. They were professional, efficient and very flexible with our requests during the entire process. We would definitely recommend this company for long distance moving!
