ZERO STARS !!! I have relocated multiple times throughout my career, and this was by far the worst moving experience me and my family have ever had. The problems started two days before our scheduled move when we discovered that New Start Relocation had the wrong address despite having all of our information in advance. My husband and I are relocating my MIL from MA to FL. I estimated our needs for furniture and boxes on the high side and we received a good price. The sales rep explained that they used 26 ft box trucks it would be loaded with 2 families only on the truck and would deliver from MA to FL in 4-6 days. I explained that I wanted to avoid the mega liner situation that we experienced with my mother's move 2 years ago due to the uncertainty of delivery dates. If I could give zero stars I would. This company lies- they are not a full service moving company - they are a broker. It is illegal to lie about that by the way. I am out a 1000 when I called them months ago from the beginning to say I am disabled and on a tight budget. They pressured me to move on a day that didn’t work for me on the initial sale saying they were giving me a good discount so I did. AVOID NEW START RELOCATION AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!! TLDR; I would rather move every piece of furniture in my home…singlehandedly …in a snow storm… than deal with this company ever again. Garbage company. Misled me on the cost of the move, sent preliminary list of items, but told them when I got the quote that I needed to add items. He said someone would call later and it wouldn't change the cost much. The person on the phone tripled the price and refused to return my deposit. Spoke to David on customer service. We were able to work out a much more reasonable price considering I added on a lot of additional items. The movers were prompt and professional. May update after everything is delivered to the new place, but so far my experience has been turned around.
